Convert PowerPoint to PDF (PPTX, up to 100 slides)

Convert a self-contained PPTX presentation into PDF using an isolated Office renderer.

Up to 100 slides. External links and macros are not supported.

To convert PowerPoint to PDF, upload a .pptx file of up to 25 MiB and 100 slides, then download one PDF page per slide. The slides are rendered by LibreOffice, not by Microsoft PowerPoint, so the PDF keeps text, shapes and images but can differ from what you see in PowerPoint, especially with unusual fonts, animations and newer design effects. Check every page before you share it.

How to convert a presentation to PDF

Choose a .pptx file, submit the form and wait. This conversion can take longer than a simple tool, so it runs as a background job and shows a status page until the PDF is ready. Download the PDF, which keeps your file name, and flip through it to confirm all slides look right.

How the slides are rendered

Each file is processed on its own in a temporary, isolated LibreOffice session with macro security set to the strictest level. The tool checks that the PDF has the same number of pages as the presentation has slides, and reports a failure if it does not. Conversion is cancelled after three minutes.

What can look different

Fonts that are not installed on the server are replaced with similar ones, which can shift line breaks and spacing. Animations and transitions do not appear in a PDF at all. Complex SmartArt, advanced shape effects, embedded video and some chart styling may render differently from PowerPoint. For pixel-exact output, use PowerPoint's own Export as PDF.

Files that are rejected

Only .pptx is accepted, not .ppt or .pptm. The tool refuses presentations with more than 100 slides, password-protected files, files with macros, and presentations that link to external resources. Remove external links or embedded macros, save a clean copy and try again. Use Compress PDF if the result is too large to email.

Frequently asked questions

Will my PowerPoint look the same as a PDF?

Mostly for simple decks, but not guaranteed. Rendering is done by LibreOffice, so missing fonts, SmartArt, effects and some charts can look different. Review every page before sharing, or use PowerPoint's own export.

What are the PowerPoint to PDF limits?

Files must be .pptx, up to 25 MiB, with no more than 100 slides. Password-protected files, macros and external links are not supported. Conversion that takes longer than three minutes is cancelled.

Do animations and transitions work in the PDF?

No. A PDF page is static, so each slide appears in its final state. Animations, transitions and embedded video playback are not preserved. Speaker notes are not part of the output either.

Can I convert an old .ppt file?

Not directly. This tool accepts .pptx only, not .ppt or .pptm. Open the older file in PowerPoint or LibreOffice Impress, save a copy as .pptx, and then upload that copy.

Is my presentation kept private?

The file is processed in a temporary session with macros disabled, and results are stored only for a short time. Still, avoid uploading confidential decks you are not allowed to share with a third-party service.
