The text is drawn in capitals with a black outline, the classic meme look, and you can change its color and size. It has no built-in template library: bring the photo, screenshot or reaction image you want to caption.
How to make a meme
Choose a JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF or BMP up to 20 MiB. Enter a top caption, a bottom caption or both, with up to 100 characters each. At least one is required. Leave the font size empty to let the tool size it from the image width, or set a value from 8 to 200. Submit and download the captioned image.
How the text looks
Captions are converted to uppercase, centred, and drawn with a black outline so they stay readable on both light and dark pictures. The text color defaults to white and can be changed with the color picker. The top caption sits near the top edge and the bottom caption near the bottom edge.
Limits to know about
Each caption is drawn on a single line and is not wrapped. A long caption on a narrow image can run past the edges, so keep lines short or lower the font size. The font is a standard bold sans-serif, not Impact. GIF input is saved as one still frame, so you cannot caption an animation.
Output format and next steps

Frequently asked questions
Does the meme generator have templates?
No. It captions an image you upload, so there is no template library. Save the picture you want from your own files, upload it, and the generator adds your top and bottom text.
Can I use only a top or only a bottom caption?
Yes. Fill in either caption or both. The form only requires at least one of the two, and each caption can be up to 100 characters long, so there is room for a full line.
How do I change the meme text color and size?
Use the color picker to change the text color from the default white. Type a font size between 8 and 200 to override the automatic size. The black outline stays in place so the text remains readable.
Why does my long caption get cut off?
Captions are printed on one line without wrapping, so a long line on a small image can extend past the edges. Shorten the text, split it between the top and bottom captions, or reduce the font size.
Can I make an animated GIF meme?
No. The generator saves a single frame, so an animated GIF will come out as a still image. Use it with photos and screenshots, or caption one frame and treat the result as a static picture.
